Honey-Whole Wheat Cakes


This is my favorite whole wheat pancake recipe ever, we use raw honey in them and goat milk and the flavor is just wonderful. These are great with traditional syrup or cold at lunch time, or homemade strawberry jam, peanut butter and honey!!! I don't remember where I got this recipe, here it is below:


1 egg

3/4 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 c. quick oats

3/4 c. milk

2 T. oil

1 T honey

3 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt


Mix and pour into cakes on griddle, for a twist last time I added a handful of dried cranberries and white chocolate chips, they were really good cold too! I always double the recipe and then we have extra for "snacks" throughout the day.
